Maria customizes your lip color specifically to you. During your consultation, she considers your natural lip tone, skin tone and undertones, existing pigmentation, and the look you want to achieve. From soft, barely-there pinks and nudes to warmer or richer tones, Maria carefully selects and blends pigments to create a shade that complements your natural coloring and heals beautifully. She’ll also discuss how the pigment is expected to soften during the healing process, so your final result feels natural, balanced, and uniquely yours—never one-size-fits-all.

A little prep helps create beautiful, even results. In the days leading up to your Lip Blushing appointment, keep your lips healthy, hydrated, and free from irritation, cracking, or sunburn. Gently exfoliate as directed and use a nourishing lip balm to prevent dryness. Avoid alcohol and other nonessential blood-thinning products for 24 hours beforehand when medically appropriate, and never stop prescribed medication without consulting your healthcare provider. If you have a history of cold sores, let Maria know before your appointment, as lip tattooing can trigger an outbreak and your healthcare provider may recommend preventive antiviral medication.

Your lips will need a little extra love while they heal. Expect the color to look brighter and more intense at first before gradually softening into your healed shade. Keep your lips clean and apply the recommended aftercare product as directed. Avoid picking, peeling, or scratching any flaking skin, and temporarily avoid activities or products that may irritate the area, including excessive moisture, sweating, sun exposure, and lip makeup, according to Maria’s aftercare instructions.
